Local Video Warning About Drinking and Driving Nominated for an Emmy Award.

Glenn Grant, owner of Endeavor Production Group has been nominated by The National Academy of Television Arts & Sciences Pacific Southwest Chapter for a regional Emmy Award.  The nomination is for Nothing is That Important, a public service video produced in partnership with local non-profit, Tiffany’s Gift in Murrieta, CA.

Nothing is That Important explores the tough decision children face when their parents drink and get behind the wheel.  The video depicts a short interaction between father and son played by Robert Rankin Walker and Murrieta Valley High School graduate Nick Delzompo.  The son questions the father’s ability to drive while both contemplate the potential disaster.

“The main goal of this project is to encourage kids to take a stand against drinking and driving,” Grant said.  “But we also have the decision of the dad: to put aside his pride and listen to his son.  Both father and son are faced with tough decisions, and that is lot to convey in short amount of time.”

This was a huge undertaking to coordinate so many moving parts to make this happen over a two day shoot. None of this would have been possible with out an amazing production team.

The emotional, high-impact video is barely more than two minutes long and was a major community effort with support from the City of Murrieta, Murrieta Police and Fire departments, American Medical Response (AMR), and the Murrieta Unified School District, as well as local businesses and residents.

Debbie Breslin, one of the founders of Tiffany’s Gift, developed the original concept and was the driving force behind the project.  Tiffany’s Gift is a 501(c)3 that was created to raise awareness about the dangers of drinking and driving after their daughter, Tiffany, was killed by a drinking boater in 2008.

“This project was very near and dear to my heart,” Breslin said. “If we can help prevent even just one family from going through what we have endured, then this is a success.”

“We are proud to have been recognized for our work on this production,” Grant said.  It is a very emotional and rewarding project that we could not have pulled off without the support of the local community and Debbie’s dedication to reaching local high school students.”

We would like to thank the Breslin family and Tiffany’s Gift for the opportunity to work with them on this project. Together we would like to thank the cast: Robert Rankin Walker, Nick Delzompo, Trina Walker, and Jake Grant and everyone else that participated. We would also like to thank the City of Murrieta, Police Chief Sean Hadden, Murrieta Police Department, Fire Chief David Lantzer, Murrieta Fire Department, Murrieta Unified School District, American Medical Response, United Towing, The Mill Restaurant, and Hover Imagery.
